Emergency crews and ENMAX had their work cut out for them on Wednesday evening after a driver knocked over a power pole on Ogden Road S.E.
Crews were called to the scene of a crash at Ogden Road and Blackfoot Trail at just before 7 p.m.
The force of the crash knocked over a power pole, knocking down several live wires onto the street and the car.
The driver was eventually freed and was uninjured.
Police say that the driver only had a learner’s permit and the car was not registered.
He was arrested at the scene.
There is no word on charges.
