The flood waters took out the Saddledome prompting the cancellation of a number of shows and that is causing problems for people who purchased tickets through a third party.
A number of concerts were cancelled because of flood damage to the Stampede Park venue.
Darren Kielstra found tickets for the Dixie Chicks on kijiji to surprise his girlfriend and then was unable to get a refund when the concert was cancelled.
“I actually phoned Ticketmaster and they informed me that because my tickets had been mailed to the customer, that they would be reimbursed and I would not be reimbursed for my tickets,” said Kielstra.
Ticketmaster says it is only doing what every retailer does and when someone wants a refund, the money goes back on the same credit card that made the purchase.
