Daytime high temperatures will be even warmer next week, but that won't last long

Share

Rain will transition to snow in southern Alberta on Friday night.

A chance of rain mixed with snow will taper off Saturday afternoon, but a prolonged period of snowfall is expected for eastern Alberta with a focus over Cypress Hills.

By the time the snow ends on Sunday, totals around this area could reach 25-35 cm with up to 50 cm possible in localized areas.

Daytime temperatures will remain close to zero through the weekend and warm up even further early next week.

The warm-up is short-lived, however, as a significant cool down will follow.
