A seafood product manufactured by Taiwan Food Products Ltd. of Surrey, British Columbia, has been recalled.
Frozen Fish Tempura Sticks sold in 365 gram packages at stores throughout Alberta and British Columbia have been removed from store shelves after traces of egg were located in the product. The package label did not indicate egg as an ingredient and the product has reportedly been linked to at least one allergic reaction.
Taiwan Food Products Ltd. is voluntarily recalling the product. The Fish Tempura Sticks that may contain egg are labeled with a UPC code of 7 77576 00410 6 and have an expiration date of either September 12, 2013 or September 13, 2013.
