The homicide unit has been called in to try and determine what lead up to the death of a man who was found outside a townhouse complex in Acadia.
Police say the man, in his 20s, was found slumped against the wall of one of the units.
Neighbours in the area say the man was stabbed repeatedly, but police have not ruled the death a homicide.
“All I can say is the death is being deemed suspicious due to the nature of the injuries,” said Staff Sgt. Todd McNutt.
Investigators processed the scene on Tuesday, keeping the complex taped off and the medical examiner removed the body in the early evening.
An autopsy is expected later on Wednesday and, depending on the results, police could be on the trail of a killer.
Police are speaking with a person of interest in the case and say charges are not pending at this time.
