A 24-year-old man is dead and two men have been arrested following a Saturday morning incident in northeast Medicine Hat.
Members of the Medicine Hat Police Service responded to a location in the 500 block of 21 Street Northeast in the early hours of Saturday morning following reports indicating a man had been hurt.
An injured 24-year-old man was located and transported by ambulance to the Medicine Hat Regional Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The identity of the deceased and the cause of his death have not been released.
Officers arrested a 21-year-old man at the scene and a second suspect was identified as 21-year-old Aaron Anand-Ford of Medicine Hat.
Ford was located and arrested at an undisclosed location in the hours following the homicide.
Investigators believe the man’s death was the result of a targeted attack.
The suspects remain in police custody as they await bail hearings.
