Police are expected to learn more about the deaths of two Calgary women whose bodies were found in a home in Coventry Hills.

On Monday morning, police found the bodies of two women, one in her 50s and the other in her 20s, inside a home in the 200 block of Coventry Close N.E.

They were called to the home by a family friend who was concerned that something had happened.

Investigators aren’t releasing the cause of death, saying that autopsy results will need to come back before they can say anything.

Police say that others lived in the home along with the two women.

Residents in the community of Coventry Hills are concerned with the news of the deaths.

“This is a good neighbourhood. I’ve lived here for 19 years and there’s never been any trouble. I feel a little intimidated that this has happened so close to home,” said Joan Harkness.

Police say they are putting together the clues and are narrowing a list of suspects in connection with the crime.

“It’s very early in the investigation so we’re going through a number of investigative processes. We’re talking to people in the community, family members, people who were familiar, friends and family of people that potentially may be involved,” said CPS Duty Inspector Ryan Ayliffe on Tuesday.

The Homicide Unit is investigating and police are asking anyone with information on the case to contact the non-emergency line at 403-266-1234, or Crime Stoppers using any of the following methods:
