Calgary-based Melissa joined the CTV News team in September of 2021 as a digital journalist.
Her career started as a radio anchor and producer at 660News in Calgary before working at Global News Calgary as an online reporter.
Melissa has had the privilege of covering a wide range of topics during her career as a journalist, including politics and elections, crime, education, environment, health and lifestyle.
Melissa graduated from the Broadcast News program at the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology.
As a born and raised Calgarian, Melissa is thrilled to continue growing her career in the city she loves the most.
When not at work, Melissa enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter and dog.
She is fluent in English.

On September 9, 1960, CTV News Calgary (CFCN) went on the air for the first time and was the first independent television station in Canada.
The first broadcast was a 30-minute news program, followed by two movies, bringing then owner H. Gordon Love’s life-long dream to reality.
CFCN became a member of the Canadian Television Network (CTV) in October 1961 and one of the station’s longest running shows, The Buck Shot Show, started in 1967.
CTV News Calgary, created a number of firsts in Canadian television, as an owned and operated local of CTV News.
Canada’s largest telecommunications company, Bell Canada Enterprises, has owned CTV News Calgary since 2000.
