Weekend Snow!

Colder and snowier weather is on its way for part of the weekend.   A Low in Montana will feed snow into Alberta from the southeast, generating an upslope flow.    For Calgary, it'll mean 5-10 cm of snow starting Saturday afternoon, and ending before sunrise Sunday.   Higher amounts are expected in the foothills.  The sky clears Sunday, and it will be rather cold during the day, with the high of -3 not reached until the evening.   Notcturnal flurries are possible Monday and Tuesday.   Wednesday, a chinook will develop, and it may stick around for a couple of days.

Friday night: Partly cloudy, low -5
Saturday: Increasing cloud, afternoon flurries and a drop in temp with north wind, daytime high -2
Sunday: Pre dawn flurries, then clearing to sunshine for most of the day, high -3 (evening)
Monday: Mainly sunny, chance of late night flurries, high -3
Tuesday: Mostly cloudy with sunny breaks, evening flurries, high -3
Wednesday: Chinook cloud, breezy, high 2
