Blackfalds RCMP has arrested a man wanted on a long list of charges dating back to 2010, who was hiding inside a home in the community.

With the assistance of Red Deer RCMP, police surrounded a home in Blackfalds and questioned the residents, with an investigation finding a man hiding in a closet underneath a blanket.

The man was identified as Marvin Lodge, 37, a Blackfalds resident.

He has been charged with:

  • Impaired driving (x3)
  • Impaired driving over .08
  • Mischief
  • Fail to comply with probation (x3)
  • Possession of a weapon contrary to a prohibition order
  • Fail to attend court (x10)
  • Drive uninsured motor vehicle (x2)
  • Fail to provide a breath sample (x2)
  • Operation of a motor vehicle while disqualified (x2)
  • Fail to comply with conditions (x6)
  • Possession of a controlled substance
  • Possession of property obtained by crime

Lodge is expected to appear in court on June 30.
