Final arguments were heard Monday during the trial for two men accused in the January 2008 stabbing death of Kevin Bowser.

Bower, 43, was stabbed six times and killed during a home invasion in the southwest community of Rosscarrock.

Alexander Vuozzo, 22, is charged with second-degree murder in the case. But his lawyer asked the judge to reduce the charge to manslaughter because he says his client didn't intend to kill Bowser.

Michael Wozny, 25, is facing a charge of manslaughter but his lawyer wants it reduced to break-and-enter.

Police say the attack wasn't random and the victim and both men accused in the killing knew each other.

The judge is expected to hand down a verdict on Thursday.
