There was a lot of excitement in northeast Calgary on Wednesday when a large bull moose wandered into the city.

Drivers first spotted the moose running along Stoney Trail at around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday.

The bull made its way to Coventry Drive and hid between two homes until Fish and Wildlife officers got on scene.

Eventually, the moose left the area on his own, running back to Stoney Trail and back out into the wild.
