Police are attempting to piece together a terrifying ordeal for a man who was abducted at gunpoint from a southwest shopping centre.

Just after 8:00 p.m. Friday night, police responded to a kidnapping call from the Signal Hill Shopping Centre.

The 911 call came from a retail store employee after a woman came running into the shop to say a man she knew was forced into a vehicle by several suspects.

According to police, the victim was attacked and threatened at gunpoint.  An accurate witness description of the vehicle allowed officers to pursue the suspects, and HAWCS air support followed the vehicle to a location in the community of Glenbrook.

Officers and the tactical unit made their way to an apartment block on Glengrove Cl. S.W. where the victim was located.  The man had suffered minor injuries in the ordeal.

Three people were arrested at the Glengrove Cl. residence and a number of firearms were found.  Police believe two additional suspects remain at large.

Investigators continue to search for a motive in the targeted attack.
