The Calgary Flames have brought in some new, but very recognizable names, to hopefully revitalize the franchise in the coming season.

On Friday morning, Brad Treliving named Brad Pascall and Craig Conroy as assistant general managers and Troy Crowder in player development.

Conroy is a fan favourite in Calgary while Pascall is better known with the national team.

Pascall was recently in charge of hockey operations with the national men’s team at Hockey Canada. He says he happy to take the position which will keep him in Calgary.

Meanwhile, Conroy says that he didn’t pursue the position, but he rather was approached by Treliving with the promotion.

Treliving says the front office is packed with a lot of enthusiasm. “At the end of the day, it all starts for me with how hard you’re going to work. All of these guys – you don’t have to push them or pull them to work. I think they’re bright, I think they’re driven, and for the rest of it, we can teach you everything else.”

The next task for the Flames is to make waves at this year’s NHL Draft in Philadelphia.

The Flames have the fourth overall pick in the draft.
