Calgary Transit and Enmax crews were called out to the Crowfoot LRT Station on Tuesday afternoon for an electrical issue and transit says CTrain service between Crowfoot and Dalhousie Station will not be available on Wednesday morning.

Service between the two stations was completely shut down after one of the cables connecting a train to the power lines appeared to disconnect.

The situation caused the power to shut down and stranded one train just metres from the platform.

Riders were stuck on the train for a couple of hours and were eventually guided down the tracks to the station.

Calgary Transit has shuttle buses running between the two stations to connect riders to their destinations.

Routes 37, 43, 76, 137 and 143 will also provide service between the twostations.

There is no word yet on what caused the power line issue.

Calgary Transit will update the situation on its website HERE.
