Calgary police are investigating an early morning incident at a southwest home which left one teenager dead and another hospitalized with stab wounds.

On Saturday morning, shortly after midnight, police responded to a disturbance call at a home in the 11400 block of Braniff Rd. S.W.

On arrival, emergency crew located two males, boys in their mid-to-late teens, suffering from stab wounds on Braniff Green S.W. EMS transported the two teens to hospital but one of the stabbing victims succumbed to his injuries in the back of the ambulance.

Police are interviewing witnesses in connection to the stabbing. The CPS Homicide Unit is leading the investigation.

The relationship between the victims and the offender has not been determined and police have not released a motive for the attack.

Friends have identified the stabbing victim as Juliano Vieira, a peace loving kid who minded his own business. The teenager is remembered as a relaxed and mellow teen who never asked for trouble.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
