An unidentified female has succumbed to the injuries she received in an afternoon collision with a vehicle near the intersection of Macleod Tr. and 42 Ave. S.E.
At approximately 1:45 p.m., officers responded to reports of a crash in the 4200 block of Macleod Tr. S.E. On arrival, CPS members found a female victim who had been pinned under a vehicle.
Prior to police and EMS arrival, a local business owner heard the crash and attempted to help.
"I just heard him screaming and I ran out and put a jack under the car and waited for EMS to show up," says Paul Young.
Police confirm the female victim was pronounced dead on scene.
The driver of the vehicle is in CPS custody.
Several roads in the vicinity of the crash have been closed to traffic while CPS investigate.
