The Calgary Police Major Crimes Unit and Child Abuse Unit are investigating the circumstances surrounding the Saturday morning death of a child at an apartment building on 17 Ave. S.W.
EMS responded to a building in the 900 block of 17 Ave. S.W at 5:15 a.m. to a call of a seizing child.
The child was transported by ambulance to the Alberta Children’s Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An autopsy into the child’s death is scheduled for next week.
Police have ruled the death as undetermined and continue to investigate.
