Tickets for Shania Twain’s July 9 concert at the Scotiabank Saddledome went on sale Friday morning and sold out in a matter of minutes, but fans of the country singer who missed out on securing a seat had another chance to see her perform during the 2014 Calgary Stampede.

In a message to her fans, posted on shaniatwain.com, the singer announced her decision to add a second Calgary performance.

“I’m overwhelmed by the support of my fans! My Calgary Stampede show has sold out and I’ve decided to add a second show on July 10!”

Tickets to the Thursday, July 10 performance sold out in less than thirty minutes.

“We knew demand would be strong, but even we have been awed by the volume of Shania Twain fans eager to see her at the Stampede,” says Adam Oppenheim, managing director, Stampede Concerts Inc. “It was a tremendous coup that Shania chose the Stampede as her first Canadian concert in a decade. We’re thrilled that we were able to offer a second concert, making twice as many fans very happy.”

Following the announced sell out of the second show, Twain posted a message of appreciation on her website.

"Thank you, Thank you! Extremely humbled that BOTH shows sold out at the Calgary Stampede! I can’t wait to get back to Canada and see you all this summer!"
