Members of the Taber RCMP detachment have apprehended an unidentified suspect following a Sunday morning assault at a rural home west of Grassy Lake.
Shortly before 10:00 a.m., officers responded to the home outside of Grassy Lake and discovered three people had been assaulted by a member of their family.
A 55-year-old man, suffering from traumatic injuries, was airlifted to the Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary by a Stars Air Ambulance crew. The patient was transported in stable condition.
Two other assault victims, a 26-year-old man and a 46-year-old woman, were admitted to hospital but have since been released.
RCMP members, with assistance from the Taber Police Service, have arrested one person in connection with the assault. The unidentified suspect has not been formally charged.
Grassy Lake is located approximately 80 kilometres east of Lethbridge on Highway 3.
