A police investigation into a Friday morning stabbing near Dr. EP Scarlett High School in the city’s southwest has resulted in no charges related to the stabbing of a teenager.

According to police, two teenage friends were horsing around near a known student smoking area in the 200 block of Canterbury Dr. S.W.  when one teen accidentally stabbed the other with a knife. 

The teenager with the knife attempted to perform first aid on his injured friend until emergency crews arrived.   The victim’s injuries were determined to be minor.

The high school was locked down while police conducted an investigation.

Police have laid no charges in connection to the stabbing but the teenager with the knife faces a charge of breaching a condition of a previous legal issue.
