Mounties have charged a 45-year-old Taber man with attempted murder after three people were stabbed at a family gathering in Grassy Lake on the weekend.
Police were called to a home about 5 kilometres west of the small hamlet on Sunday at about 10:00 a.m. and found three adults suffering from stab wounds.
A 55-year-old man was taken to Foothills Medical Centre in Calgary by STARS in stable condition and remains in hospital.
A 46-year-old woman was taken to an area hospital where she is recovering and a 28-year-old man was transported to hospital and released.
Patrick McGann, 45, is charged with three counts of attempted Murder and one count of possessing a weapon for a dangerous purpose.
McGann remains in custody and will appear for a bail hearing in Taber Provincial Court on Tuesday.
