Friends and family gathered to say goodbye to 17-year-old Brittney McInnes Tuesday.
The service was held at the Lutheran Church of the Cross in the southwest.
The McInnes family released a statement saying she touched many lives and had a heart of gold.
Brittney was initially reported missing but later found dead in her Canyon Meadows home last week.
Her stepfather, 45-year-old Bradley Wade Rietze, is charged with first degree murder in connection with her death.
He will appear in court again on Friday.
