A young woman, who was convicted of killing her family in Medicine Hat in 2006, will appear in front of a judge for the final stage of her sentence.

The woman, who cannot be identifed because she was a minor at the time the crimes occurred, received a 10 year sentence for her part in the killings.

In her last hearing in March, the court heard that it was still unclear whether or not she had accepted her role in the murders.

She will be turning 19 later this month.

The girl's boyfriend at the time, Jeremy Steinke, is currently serving a life sentence with no chance of parole for 25 years.
