A new app is available for Calgarians with an iPhone to help them find a parking space, pay for parking and even find their vehicle at the end of the day.

The MyParking app is free on iTunes and has several features to make finding and paying for parking easier.

The new app offers the following:

  • Start and stop a parking session with the touch of a button
  • View the number of stalls open at CPA parkades in real-time
  • View estimates of on-street availability using historical data
  • Find your vehicle by marking it on a map, taking a photo or writing a note
  • Direct link to CPA’s ParkAid service

Calgarians can also create a ParkPlus cell phone account directly from the app.

The parking authority says it is looking at developing the app for other platforms including Android.
