Hockey fans at the Scotiabank Saddledome were among the first to catch a glimpse of the official 2018 Calgary Stampede poster and, for the first time in the history of Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth, the advertisement is available in an animated digital format.
The poster was unveiled during the intermission of Saturday night's Edmonton Oilers and Calgary Flames matchup.
“This year’s poster showcases our past, present and future,” explained David Sibbald, president and chairman of the Calgary Stampede board. “At the heart of it, it’s the people – our community and how we’ll continue to pass on our traditions, our values and, most of all, our community to generations to come.”
The animated version of the poster highlights the sights and sounds of the annual event.
The 2018 edition of the Calgary Stampede is scheduled for Friday, July 6 through Sunday, July 15.
