Five people entered a Ford Mustang before the weekend to see who could outlast the others and drive away a winner.

Bell Media’s CJAY 92 launched its Live In it To Win It contest on Friday at the Grey Eagle Casino with five contestants.

Three men and two women climbed inside the convertible to kick off the contest and were prepared to stay in the car until there was only one left.

The car is getting a bit ripe as whatever enters the car, stays in the car, and that includes unfinished food. The contestants are also presented with daily challenges to test their endurance.

On Monday, just two were left to battle it out for the big prize, after one was eliminated for not wearing her seat belt.

John Daly and Lee Schnellback are still in it to win it and say they are having a lot of fun.

“What it comes down to, is I’ve had a barrel of laughs and I’ve met a cool person in the guy behind me and it just turned into a really fun event and I’m going to be winning a car in the next little bit,” said John.

“He’s a good dude but you can’t get the Stockholm Syndrome you know and you can’t fall in love with the people, well not love, but you can’t get to know too close your competitors you know you gotta be able to destroy them at the same time,” said Lee.

Daly says the hardest part so far is… “Didn’t realize the casino stayed open until three soyou get some pretty interesting people at that hour, the heckling just comes out of people.”

They get 10 minute breaks every three hours and the casino provides them with three meals a day.

The contest will go for a maximum of 14 days and if both men are still in the car they will draw a name to pick the winner.
