RCMP has re-opened the westbound lanes of the Trans-Canada after a truck rolled over and spread debris across the highway.
Police were called to a single vehicle collision on Highway #1 at about 2:00 p.m. Thursday involving a semi tractor-trailer unit pulling a pup trailer.
The vehicle rolled and was blocking both westbound lanes so all westbound traffic ws being re-routed at Highway 22 north into Cochrane. Drivers were directed to then take Highway 1A to continue westbound.
The driver of the vehicle was airlifted from the scene with undetermined injuries.
The westbound lanes were closed for several hours while police investigated and one has since re-opened.
