Calgary police are looking for two people who may have information in the death of a five-year-old boy last summer.

Eneas Emilio Perdomo was brought to the Alberta Children’s Hospital on July 10, 2015 and hospital staff noticed swelling and bruising all over his body that was not consistent with normal activities for a child his age.

The little boy succumbed to his injuries in hospital a week later and an autopsy determined that he died from blunt force trauma.

Police have been working with the Medical Examiner’s Office ever since and say new medical evidence has led them to deem the boy’s death a homicide.

Investigators are looking for two people who may have information in the case:

  • Allan Perdomo Lopez, of Calgary, is described as Hispanic, 56-years-old, 175 cm or 5'9" tall, with a medium build, brown eyes and brown hair.
  • Carolina Perdomo , of Calgary, is described as Hispanic, 49-years-old, 155 cm or 5’1” tall, with a medium build, brown eyes and black hair.

“We haven’t been in contact with the family for a period of time. While the investigation has moved forward, investigators attended the residence to locate them, they weren’t there and we’re looking for the public’s help to locate them,” said Inspector Don Coleman of the Calgary Police Service Major Crimes Unit.

Police say they live in Alberta and may be out of the province.

“Potentially B.C., we’re not 100 percent sure on that but that’s a lead we’re chasing down,” said Coleman. “We worked locally and sought some expert opinion on the cause of death. Recently receive those results and that’s allowed us to move forward with Allan and Carolina.”

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of these individuals, or the death of Emilio, is asked to call the Calgary Police Service non-emergency line at 403-266-1234 or the Homicide Unit Tip Line at 403-428-8877.
