Investigators are looking into the cause of a house fire in Medicine Hat that killed one person on Friday morning.
Witnesses say fire broke out at the home in the 1100 block of Steel Street SE at about 10:40 a.m.
It is believed that the victim was about 50 years old and was the only person in the home at the time.
An autopsy is expected to be conducted on the body in Calgary on Monday.
Damage is estimated at $100,000 and so far there is no word on what caused the fatal blaze.
