Jocelyn Laidlaw is the anchor of CTV News Calgary’s Noon and 5pm newscasts. A journalist since 1994, Jocelyn has been a reporter, producer and anchor. Over the years she has covered the missing women investigation on Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside, the arrest of notorious serial killer Robert Pickton, the Queen’s Golden Jubilee Canadian Tour, the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver, the 2008 Juno Awards, and the Washington, D.C. sniper investigation and arrests. She thrives on breaking news and legal reporting, having spent much of her career reaching out to victims of crime to help tell their stories.

Jocelyn’s professional journey brought her to CTV Calgary in 2003 to anchor the Noon and 5pm newscasts. Over the years, she has interviewed thousands of people, including Governor General Adrienne Clarkson, astronaut Chris Hadfield, Grammy Winning singer Joss Stone, comedian Tommy Chong, kidnapping survivor and author Amanda Lindhout, Juno winning band Hedley, and Olympic Gold medalist Donovan Bailey.

Jocelyn takes pride in serving her community as a representative of CTV. For more than a decade, she has worked closely with the Janus Academy (school for children with Autism). She also volunteers her time as an emcee for the WXN Women’s Executive Network, Calgary Fashion Gala, and a variety of other community events every year.

Jocelyn’s hometown is Vancouver, B.C., where she graduated from Simon Fraser University and BCIT. She says she always knew she’d be a journalist and is so fortunate to have found her path early in life.

She speaks three languages and loves to travel and cook. Jocelyn and her husband spend their free time with their young son, skiing, travelling, and visiting family around the world.
