The Calgary Stampeders are mourning the death of a former lineman turned Wall of Fame inductee Ron ‘Badger’ Allbright.
Allbright was 81 years old.
The offensive lineman joined the team in 1956 and spent all 12 seasons of his CFL career with the Stamps before hanging up his cleats in 1967.
In 2014, Albright’s name and jersey number, 64, were added to the Wall of Fame at McMahon Stadium. During his induction, Allbright told Stamps TV “I think it’s just amazing that, after all these years, I’m still remembered.”
Prior to his time in the CFL, the Calgarian played football at Western Canada High School and was a member of the Calgary Bronks juniors.
