They led this year’s Calgary Stampede Parade with pride and now the Stampede Showband has earned their place on the top.
The group was named as the 2013 Marching Showband World Champion during a competition held in Japan.
They scored 94.94, which earned them the title as well as a gold standard.
The showband makes over 200 appearances during the Stampede festivities and also takes their performance around the world as Calgary’s musical ambassadors.
