2by2, InSync and You, Rebuild the Zoo Valentine’s Gala

Local high tech entrepreneur, CorryAnn Struik of InSync Systems, is passionate about animals and the environment. Just weeks after the floods, she turned her annual Stampede BBQ into a fundraiser, raising thousands of dollars. Response from the Stampede event further inspired her to create a Christmas campaign to help replace the animal’s enrichment toys lost during the flood. She raised over $5,000 at her company Christmas Party and the campaign continues into January.

She is now planning a Valentine’s Gala and has garnered the support of big names such as Lanny Macdonald, as the Master of Ceremonies, Frank Hall of Hodgins Art Auctions who is volunteering his auctioneering expertise, Brian Keating, Honourary Conservation Advisor at the Calgary Zoo, who will be onsite to inform and delight the audience with his zoo stories and knowledge as well as local motivational speaker Chris Koch whose “If I Can” challenge supported the Rebuild the Zoo campaign with his climb up the Calgary Tower.
