A 35-year-old high school teacher is in police custody for a second time after officers discovered John Miller was attempting to contact the 17-year-old girl he is alleged to have been having a relationship with.

In October, RCMP began investigating allegations of a relationship between the teacher and the student.  Miller was arrested and charged with Sex Interference and Sexual Assault.

Miller was released from custody on the condition that he was not to be in contact with the victim.

Wednesday morning, an RCMP School Resource Office was patrolling near George MacDougall High School in Airdrie, when he recognized Miller’s vehicle leaving the area.

An investigation into Miller’s presence at the school found that he had attempted to contact the 17-year-old girl.

Miller was arrested at his home.  He remains in police custody while he awaits a Judicial Interim Release Hearing.
