More than a dozen emergency vehicles headed to Alberta Children’s Hospital Tuesday, but there was no disaster.

Every year, a fleet of police cars, EMS vehicles and transit busses circle the hospital to cheer up the children and staff inside.

The loud and bright display is a big thank-you for all the hardworking staff and brave kids.

This year, the decade-long tradition started at six p.m., with many many of the participants volunteering personal time to participate.

They say it’s the highlight of the year.
