Wild Rose Brewery has reached an agreement with Canada Lands that will allow it to continue to brew and serve its unique brand of beverages out of its Currie Barracks location.
The brewery was established in Calgary in 1996 and produces bottle beer and draught ales out of the green quonset that used to be a military clothing supply store.
The agreement will let the craft brewer continue its operations out of the AF23 building and allow it to gradually move tanks over to its new facility without any disruptions to brew production.
The new facility is expected to open in December 2013 in southeast Calgary and will increase the company’s brew capacity.
The extension will also keep the Taproom open and the existing brewery will be used to brew seasonal brands and create new craft brands.
The brewery is hoping to stay in Currie Barracks and is currently working with Canada Lands to be included in the future expansion plans taking place in the area.
