10 New Years Eve events in Calgary this year
There are plenty of ways to celebrate New Year's Eve in Calgary this year.
Here's a look at 10 local events:
City of Calgary's fireworks display
- What: There will be live entertainment, food trucks and family-friendly activities at the City of Calgary's New Year's Eve celebration.
- When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m.
- Where: Prince’s Island Park and Lot 59 (200-286 Memorial Dr. N.W.)
Flames vs. Canucks
- What: The Calgary Flames take on the Vancouver Canucks in a New Year's Eve matchup.
- When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 7 p.m.
- Where: Scotiabank Saddledome, 555 Saddledome Rise S.E.
Southcentre Mall celebration
- What: Head to Southcentre Mall for Golden Memories, Blue Skies. The event will include stilt walkers, aerial acrobats, a DJ and a dance floor. The night will end with a dazzling drone show.
- When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Where: Southcentre Mall, 100 Anderson Rd. S.E.
New Years Eve at the library
- What: The Calgary Public Library will ring in 2025 with a dance party, special story time and a mock countdown at five locations.
- When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 1 to 4 p.m.
- Where: The Central, Crowfoot, Fish Creek, Seton and Village Square libraries.
Zoo Year's Eve
- What: Enjoy Zoolights and some extra activities to help you and your young ones celebrate New Year's Eve before bedtime – including a ball drop every 20 minutes.
- When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m.
- Where: The Calgary Zoo, 210 St. George's Drive N.E.
Default: New Year's Eve performance
- What: Canadian rock band Default hosts an 18+ New Year's Eve concert at the Grey Eagle.
- When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 8 p.m.
- Where: Grey Eagle Resort and Casino, 3777 Grey Eagle Dr.
Wicked NYE Ball
- What: Twisted Element hosts a Wicked-themed New Year's Eve party featuring green and pink glam and over-the-top fabulousness, featuring DJ Nic Nemesis and Melinda Verga from Canada’s Drag Race Season 4 and The Traitors Canada Season 2.
- When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 9:30 p.m.
- Where: Twisted Element, 1006 11 Ave. S.W.
Mystique New Year’s Eve
- What: Visit the Carriage House Inn for three unique parties. Enjoy Top 40 hits at Club Mystique in the main ballroom, music from the 80s and 90s in the Windsor Ballroom or a five-course meal in the dining room & Ninety-Thirty Dining Lounge.
- When: Tuesday, Dec. 31 at 6:30 p.m.
- Where: Carriage House Inn, 9030 Macleod Trail South
New Year's Eve at National on 10th
- What: National on 10th is hosting a Disco Ball and Neon New Year's Eve party, with two different celebrations for guests to enjoy. Guests can take in DJ Talon on the main floor and DJ Dillion downstairs at the bowling alley. All tickets grant guests access to both floors.

Dinner at the Deane House
- What: Ring in the new year with a five-course chef's tasting menu at The Deane House.
