The Medical Examiner has determined that bones found in a rural area near Innisfail last week are human remains.
The Calgary Medical Examiner’s officer and the Forensic Pathologist made the determination at the conclusion of their initial examination.
The gender, age and identity of the bones and how long they were there are unknown, and the investigation continues by Innisfail RCMP with the help of the Calgary Major Crimes Unit and the Medical Examiner’s office.
