A man who was charged earlier this year in Calgary with aggravated sexual assault is now facing more charges after two more victims came forward to police.

John Joseph McNamara, 41, was charged in June with aggravated assault and failure to comply and Calgary police put out a contact caution for women in the area saying McNamara was active on local dating sites.

Police also said that he never informed his partners that he is HIV positive.

Media reports on the June charges enabled police to identify two additional victims from Lethbridge.

Lethbridge Regional Police say the incidents there occurred between March and July of 2012.

McNamara is now facing two counts of aggravated sexual assault in connection to those two incidents and appeared in court in Calgary on Thursday.
