Calgary police are hoping to gain more information from the public on a hit-and-run in November that badly injured one person.

The crash happened on westbound Memorial Drive N.E. between Deerfoot Trail and St. Georges Drive N.E. at 9:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15, 2024.

Police say a red vehicle hit a black 2015 Mazda CX-5, forcing the Mazda off Memorial Drive and into a pole.

The driver of the red vehicle didn't stop.

The driver of the Mazda, the lone occupant of the vehicle, was taken to hospital in serious condition.

"After reviewing CCTV footage in the area and exhausting other investigative avenues, police are now asking the public for their help in identifying the driver of the red vehicle," police said in a Friday news release.

Anyone with information or who may have witnessed the collision is asked to call police at 403-266-1234.

Tips can also be left anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
