A Calgary family can’t figure out why a package mailed to them from Ontario, arrived at a Canada Post depot in Alberta, and instead of being delivered, it was returned to sender.

The package contained a Halloween costume ordered by Stacy Sharpe.    The package had the correct address, but it wound up at the wrong depot in Alberta, and instead of being sent on to the Sharpe house, it was inexplicably returned to the Ontario company which sent it.

Canada Post investigated and sent this written response.

“We appreciate that Ms. Sharp brought this to our attention.  It is from concerns raised that we can identify areas where improvements are required….we have offered to refund Ms. Sharp.”

Canada Post says customers with lost parcels can escalate their issues on its website by creating an online service ticket which initiates an internal investigation.  In this case, Canada Post says nobody created a service ticket.
