Emergency crews are investigating after a CTrain crashed into a vehicle in the southwest quadrant of the city.
The crash occurred in the area of 4 Ave. and 9 St. S.W.
The signals were blaring at the time the crash occurred. Remarkably, no one was injured as a result.
"It's extremely fortunate that there was no injuries especially to the driver of this black vehicle that you see in behind us," said CFD Battalion Chief Allan Ball. "Had there been a passenger there may have been a different outcome here."
Calgary Transit had to bring in shuttles to transport riders past the blockage.
There is no information on any charges in the crash.
