Calgary police are investigating an incident that left two women dead at a residence in the city's southeast.
Police were called to reports of a stabbing at a home in the 6400 block of Penbrooke Dr. S.E. at about 6:30 p.m. Sunday.
A woman in her 30s was found dead at the home when police arrived and a second woman, also in her 30s, was taken to hospital where she later died. A third woman was taken to hospital in non-life threatening condition.
Police say the suspect fled the scene and was later located and arrested.
Investigators say this was not a random incident and are not releasing further details at this time.
