Fire crews are still at the scene of a house fire that broke out overnight in northeast Calgary.

At about 1:00 a.m., the Calgary Fire Department responded to the scene of a fire on 13A Street N.E.

When they got to the scene, they found a home under construction on fire, with smoke coming from the basement and main floor.

Crews initially went inside to fight the fire, but were pulled out because the floor was deemed too unstable for firefighters to work.

The Battalion Chief also says the fire was tough to fight because of the grade where the home was being built.

Luckily, no one was inside the home when it caught fire.

Investigators remain on the scene to figure out what sparked the blaze.
