Calgary police have arrested a fourth person in connection to the death of 18-year-old Lukas Stasser-Hird back in November.
Emergency crews were called to an alley in the 200 block of 10 Avenue S.W. at about 2:45 a.m., on Saturday, November 23, 2013, for reports of a man needing medical assistance.
They found the man suffering from critical, life-threatening injuries and transported him to hospital, where he later died.
An autopsy confirmed that Lukas Strasser-Hird, 18, died as a result of stab wounds.
Police believe Strasser-Hird was involved in two altercations prior to his death.
Three people are already facing charges in connection to Strasser-Hird’s death.
Nathan Paul Gervaise, 18, of Calgary, is charged with first-degree murder
Franz Emir Cabrera, 19, of Calgary, is charged with second-degree murder
Joch Pouk, 20, of Calgary, is charged with second-degree murder
Police arrested a fourth suspect on Thursday and say he is facing a charge of second-degree murder.
The man’s name is not being released until he sees a Justice of the Peace.
Police say that the investigation continues and further charges are anticipated.
They believe that some people may have used their cellphones to video or photograph either or both of the altercations and say that some of the images may have been shared.
They are interested in obtaining those images and are asking for any videos to be sent to a special email address that has been established for the investigation to homicidetips@calgarypolice.ca.
