A Lethbridge woman has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in connection with the death of a Coaldale woman in February 2015.
At just after 3:00 a.m. on February 23, 2015, police were called to a home in the 300 block of 19 Street N.
Katheline Amber Buck, 43, was found dead inside.
Julie-Ann Nicky Agerskov, was arrested a short time later during a traffic stop.
Police believe that Agerskov and Buck were together before the victim died and a fight over a past dispute ensued.
Agerskov was originally charged with second-degree murder in the incident.
She pleaded guilty to the lesser charge on Monday morning and has been sentenced to 10 years in jail, with a two-year credit for time served.
During the hearing, Agerskov expressed remorse for her actions and for the victim’s family, saying, “I’m really sorry about what I’ve done and I hope to be better in the future.”
