Calgary police have charged a man with making and distributing child pornography.
The Southern Alberta Internet Child Exploitation Unit was involved in an undercover operation led by the FBI.
Roderick "Kyle" Janssen, 35, is charged with possession of child pornography, accessing child pornography, making child pornography, and distributing child pornography.
Police were notified after Janssen allegedly shared child pornography photos with an undercover FBI agent online.
Police are now examining Janssen's camera and computer.
Special investigators say a Calgary girl, under the age of 14, is a victim of the pornography and they believe there may be more victims out there.
"We may have other victims and for me the focus of this particular unit is to identify those other victims because there is a human factor here. There are children involved and we need to be able to get them the proper counseling because of the sexual content and because of their ages," said Staff Sgt. Steve Lorne from the Alberta ICE Unit.
Janssen was arrested at his southeast Calgary home on Tuesday and remains in custody.
The investigation is ongoing and no further details will be released at this time.
