The owners of the Shamrock Hotel, where a fire broke out in August 2012, have been reportedly fined $30,000 for fire code violations.
The company that owns the hotel pleaded guilty to two provincial safety code charges in the fire.
They were given the maximum fine on each charge.
Several people were trapped when fire broke out inside the hotel, but all of them were able to escape the building or be extricated by emergency personnel.
Damage estimated at the hotel was pegged at $1M.
