Provincial officials are in High River on Thursday morning where they are expected to announce details on their plan to return to the hardest-hit section of the community.
Clean up is far from over in the town, but there is major progress, especially with extra support coming in from Calgary on Wednesday.
About three quarters of the community have returned home and are busy cleaning up.
Residents in the central part of the community have now been allowed back in to see their homes and businesses.
Many areas are still underwater and are restricted.
Officials have set up pumping systems to drain water out of swelled lakes.
About 84,000 gallons of water every minute are being pumped into the Little Bow Canal.
